After losing both my parents in my forties, the reality of how brief life truly is sunk in. This revelation didn't turn into a anchor of depression for me but was a launching pad of sorts to enjoy life without regrets. Fill in the blank: "I've always wanted to try ___________." I scribbled in oil painting. That was five years ago and I'm so glad I took the jump into art. Without sounding too Oprahish - it's my passion. The first cup of coffee of life, you're just waking up, opening your eyes - adjusting. The second, you enjoy and savor. President George Bush found his second cup in oil painting. Julia Roberts and Ryan Goslin knit. Warren Buffett strums a ukulele. Mark Twain, when he wasn't writing, was all involved in perfecting men's suspenders. And finally, we have Angelina Jolie collecting daggers (please supply your own emjoi!)
What is your hobby or interest that you totally get lost in? What's your escape from the daily grind?
I would love to hear from you and maybe share a pic.!
